You pretty much listed most of the big ones, but in my experience the real pull of Rome can't be described on paper, its something you feel when you are there. It is a big city like many others, but it has a heart. Everywhere you turn you see history, and not just history in the making, actual ancient history. The cobblestones you walk on in some places are the same ones the emperors walked on. Driving down the streets you see landmarks on every corner, and these aren't just ordinary landmarks, places like the Pantheon, Coliseum, Piazza Navona are some incredibly beautiful places! It is always alive, whether 3pm or 3am things are happening. You can take a short train ride to some absolutely beautiful cities on the coast for a wonderful day trip, or a bit further train ride to some iconic cities like Venice, Pisa, or Florence. If you are feeling daring you can even buy a vespa and have some of the most exciting driving experiences of your life in Rome. I really can't say enough about how amazing Rome is and I can assure you if you chose to live there, you won't regret it!
