yes but theorically they serve to mantain the welfare state, free health system and free education for everyone

Yes they are ridiculos high and if you consider that our politicians got the highest wages all over Europe (at least 30% higher) you can see why they are so high....ah we got a little welfare state and our unemployed very hardly get any (little) money from the govern....

Yes, and if you're an expat from the US, you not only have to file tax returns here, but also in the US. While the taxes are high, there are services that come with them.
