Hello; Where would a wealthy family live in the Veneto region, Italy? I mean an aristocratic family (Old money). Also, in general, where do aristocratic families live in Italy? I'm researching for a book. Thank you!

Veneto was part of Republic of Venice from 1400 to 1800. In four century venice's aristocratic families and other families from padova, vicenza, verona and treviso had invested money from commerce to agriculture. So they built villas in the countryside (in all veneto) for living near their investments. There is 4000 villas in Veneto. I think that a lot of family still live in the villa of their ancestor. Some sell the field around the villa or maybe they start produce wine or in their land.
